Compact Cyclotherm occupies up to two thirds LESS space than conventional steam generators because of its simple 2 pass, Scotch Marine type construction. Cyclonic Combustion transfers at least 65% of the heat energy in the fuel directly through the fire tube, and an additional 15% in the single return pass. Conventional steam generators add only extra weight and bulk but get no more efficiency.

During World War II, the U.S. Navy requested Cyclotherm’s engineers to develop a compact, lightweight, steam generator which would develop top efficiency under the most rugged operating conditions. Patented Cyclonic Combustion answered these demands so well that Cyclotherm became the leader in supplying auxiliary boilers for shipboard use. No other steam generator can match the Cyclotherm for operating efficiency, trouble free service, long life, and maximum of performance in a minimum of space.

Pressure vessel of welded steel construction designed in accordance with A.S.M.E. and marine engineering requirements.
Blower motor, feed water pump and oil pump assemblies located under the unit.
Motors, controllers and electrical components are in accordance with A.B.S. and AIEE 45 specifications as well as U.S. Coast Guard and Military Specifications as required.

How it works

Water Treatment Tanks

Water treatment tanks are mounted on side and piped to feedwater pump systems. By-pass piping permits manually controlled water circulation.

Oil Pump Set

An oil pump set assembly is furnished and placed under the unit, to save you space and eliminate connecting and installing on the job.

Electronic Control Panel

Electronic control panel is easily accessible for checking and adjusting. Provides automatic operations. Mounted on side of boiler at eye level.

Flanged Air Intake

A flanged air intake is provided on the Cyclotherm Marine Steam Generator in order to connect the unit’s ductwork to the weather outside.

Modulation Sequence

The modulation sequence has been developed further to provide a wider range of modulation to meet the demands and rigors of marine use.

Cyclotherm Steam Generator

The Cyclotherm Steam Generator is provided with a flanged flue uptake. This uptake connects the stack of the unit to the weather.
